The Lakers wings keep impressing defensively with activity and deflections.

“Adou Thiero, Matisse Thybulle and Jake LaRavia (and Ziaire Williams who is out tonight) all continue to impress on the wings defensively. Activity, pressure, hands, deflections. All without a traditional low man. Adding Walker Kessler to the backline will be interesting.”

The Mavericks have talked a lot about getting Flagg and Kyrie live-ball catches in the half-court.

Giannis was more forceful and assertive going downhill against a slightly different coverage.

“Well, you could feel more of his force, you know, tonight. I think he could sense that it was a slightly different coverage and night to night it could be that. That's what the great players, you know, require when you're scouting against them. Usually it's something different or different little nuanced schemes and scouting reports. But he was definitely assertive, getting to his spots, quickly, you know, downhill. You know, so that's more of what we're expecting, you know, than, you know, making plays to wide open shooters time and time again.”

LeBron says the Sixers want early transition attacks before defenses set.

“I think it's always important just to be able to attack offensively before the defense is set. You know, so anytime we can get some early transition points or early attacks against defenses that's not set... we're able to punch gaps, you know, especially if they have a numbers advantage or even a one-on-one advantage, the guys are not gonna really be able to stay in front of them.”
