The Kings expected the physicality but their camp toughness did not show up on the floor.

“It was physicality. I mean, more than anything, I thought that they were physical, picked up, nothing that we weren't anticipating. The response to that was not the response that I want. And our guys have had an incredible camp. They've played extremely hard, been extremely physical. It did not translate to the floor the way that I would like to see it.”

Nique Clifford viewed as a secondary ball handler who can play pick-and-roll and facilitate for the Kings.

“We see him as a secondary ball handler, a guy that can handle the ball, make plays, play in pick-and-roll, a lot of different things. … I think you see them in flashes but you know that what the summertime is for So like you have find your NBA skill you do it at a elite level you work on your complete game but you still do the thing that you do really well... as that thing starts to bud and begins to be something that you can do on the court, you start to see flashes of that, and then it becomes part of your game.”

Sacramento wants an aggressive defense that hits first instead of waiting and reacting.

“So, a defensive, defensive player is like somebody who's waiting. You know, you're gonna be reactionary. We don't want to do that. We want to be offensive, defensive players. And what I mean by that is we want to be aggressive. We want to get up. We want to be the first one to hit people. We want to communicate. We want to be in gaps. We want to rotate.”
