Thiero recovered from early defensive mistakes and was great on the offensive glass.

“I thought his first two defensive possessions he made mistakes and then after that he was awesome. He was great on the offensive glass... I think they blitzed three times in the first half and two of those were against him. He makes the short roll and he gets the lob.”

Lakers leaned on stack actions against drop coverage and gave players freedom to set them.

“We ran a lot of stack versus their drop and they did a good job of, you know, touching the paint. We told the guys basically of freedom at any time. If you're on the double side, go set a stack screen.”

Dončić keeps taking threes from the same spots and has hit some step backs going right.

“he's taking a lot of threes from the same spots... a lot of those threes are above the break and he's made some step back threes going right, which, you know, his bread and butter is the step back going left.”

Thompson says he'll try to do a better job feeding John Collins.

“he able to spread the court hit threes catch lobs set screens roll and in the post you know he able to get his own bucket So super dynamic and I feel you know I gonna try to do a better job of feeding him”

DETKevin HuerterDevelopmentPresser4d

Huerter has surprised teammates with his passing and defense beyond his known shooting.

“We all knew that he was a great shooter coming in, but we didn't know that he could dribble, pass, defend the way he's doing.”

DETDuncan RobinsonDevelopmentPresser4d

Defenders overreacting to Robinson's shooting opens drives and foul-drawing.

“Because he shoots it the way that he does, a lot of people overreact to him, right? So now that gives him an opportunity to put the ball on the floor, get to the paint, and draw contact, which is, you know, a great addition to his game.”
