Irving made several plays when the team needed one and the staff managed his minutes well.
“We're asking him to do a lot. And, you know, there were a couple times whenever you could see that... the team needed him to make a play. And he made several of them. And I thought the staff did a great job of managing the minutes with the flow of the game.”

Irving confirms he is on a minutes restriction and says he must attack immediately when he enters the game.
“playing on this minutes restriction or whatever the case may be I gotta be in attack mode soon as I get the... I gotta push the pace”
Irving is used to short stretches on the floor and wants to get teammates more involved.
“I'm used to playing, you know, 12 minutes through or 11 minutes, 10 minutes through. And I got to do a better job of suggesting to what our game plan is and just getting other guys involved.”
