What coaches and players say about roles, minutes, gameplans and development.
Franz attacks the paint from everywhere and his patience there makes life easier for teammates.
“That's just what he does. I think the way that he plays and the skillset that he has allows him to be a threat at all times and to attack the paint at all times. Whether that's from long-range, from the mid-range or from short distance, he's always a guy that the defense has to collapse to. Franz is somebody that's really patient in that paint and makes the right decisions in there. So, it really makes everybody else's life way easier.”
Richardson spent the summer lifting to get stronger after getting picked on last season.
“Last year I felt like a couple times I was getting picked on a little bit. So, you know, trying to spend as much time as I could in the weight room this summer trying to get stronger and, you know, just being the first guy to hit.”
Richardson wants to be an irritant with aggressive full-court pressure on the ball.
“Being aggressive every single time on the ball, especially being 94 feet, just being an irritant, somebody who annoys you all game.”
Wendell Carter sees Jalen Suggs playing well in camp.
“The reason I say that is because being a point guard is not an easy thing. He looks good and he's been playing really well.”
Vučević credits repetition for building chemistry and a feel for teammates.
“Repetition. Then as you build that chemistry, you build a feel for one another…”
