LeBron says the Sixers want early transition attacks before defenses set.
โI think it's always important just to be able to attack offensively before the defense is set. You know, so anytime we can get some early transition points or early attacks against defenses that's not set... we're able to punch gaps, you know, especially if they have a numbers advantage or even a one-on-one advantage, the guys are not gonna really be able to stay in front of them.โ
Team is emphasizing pushing pace and throwing ahead in the first three quarters.
โWe got a lot of guys who have speed and can beat guys off the bounce, create an advantage. We got to continue to encourage to just throw it ahead... during the first three quarters, we should be up and down.โ
Who is nominally the point guard matters little because LeBron is expected to bring the ball up or get the first pass.
โI think we've got several guys that can grab and go and enough secondary triggers that it shouldn't matter who is nominally the point guard for the Sixers. But he expects LeBron James to either bring the ball up or receive the first pass of the possession.โ
