Nick Nurse's rotation strategy: staggered starters with overlap to maintain continuity and depth.
“How Nick Nurse staggered his starters, 1H 10/8 @ BKN: Started and finished the half with all five on the floor; aside from one brief spurt with four (all minus LeBron James) he always had two or three of them on the court”
Nick Nurse's projected starting lineup for tonight.
“Sixers head coach Nick Nurse expects to play his entire projected starting five — Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Jaylen Brown, LeBron James, Joel Embiid — in tonight's preseason game @ Brooklyn.”
Brown already loves VJ and feels they see the game similarly.
“I love VJ already. One of my favorite people in the world and we just met… I think we kind of see the game similarly.”
Edgecombe has made a step forward and looks better than he did a year ago.
“VJ Edgecombe has, "in general," "made a step forward." "It just feels like he's better than he was a year ago."”
