Tatum is expected to do everything possible to be available and be someone the team can rely on nightly.
“It starts with doing everything you possibly can to be out there ... we trust him, we trust our sports science team. That's why we have 10 of them. We trust his trainer ... we want the expectation ... that we can rely on you every single night.”
Tatum is looking forward after his Achilles recovery and has been a louder voice.
“Jayson Tatum is entering his first full season after his Achilles recovery looking forward, not back at the dramatic summer. He's been a louder voice and teammates see him acting like he had something to prove”
Tatum leans on ten years of highs and lows and a sharper awareness of himself.
“Through experience. It's year 10, so I've been through it all, the highs and the lows. Understanding it's my 10th training camp and really having awareness of myself and the environment.”
Tatum feels great 16 months after Achilles surgery and was not himself mentally last March.
“Jayson Tatum said he "feels great" 16 months from Achilles surgery, noting October 12 will mark 17 months. "I came back last March and I was cleared, (but) mentally and from a conditioning standpoint, I wasn't myself. But I think for me ... it was great from a mentality”
