McNeeley's priority is tighter defense after too many layups and slow closeouts.
“The thing that I would like him to focus on no matter what going on offensively how can we still be tight defensively... there was just some areas there where there too much slippage Too many layups or not enough activity to get back on closeouts”
McNeeley wants to prove he can stick and spent the offseason getting stronger.
“I want to prove that I can stick in this league. And the big thing that I was focusing on this offseason was my physicality, getting stronger, putting weight on. And that'll help me on both sides of the ball.”
Switching defenses stalled the offense because the ball stopped moving after the first action.
“They were switching everything. Our offense got stagnant, which led to the turnovers and just putting your head down. I had six turnovers, just can't happen. Two charges. Other guys had charges. We stopped moving the ball after an initial action. We just got to do after actions for them.”
Lee wants to try McNeeley and Salaün in creator and screener spots and on different defensive assignments.
“I look forward to seeing those guys, like, with some different lineups, putting them in some situations to be creators, to be screeners, to have to guard certain people.”
