Chicago is playing whoever is more aggressive and weighing matchups and energy to see how it goes.
“We're going to play whoever is there and more aggressive at the moment. And, you know, it's going to be also matchups, energy, minutes restriction. We will see how it goes.”
Awaka will play short minutes and has a spot in the rotation.
“He's gonna play for short minutes... Tobe's gonna have minutes.”
Awaka is the best offensive rebounder Giddey has seen and he looks for shooters.
“I never seen a guy that offensive rebounds better than Tobe. He crashes the ball... he's always trying to find shooters.”
Awaka plays hard on both ends and makes smart simple passes to shooters off offensive rebounds.
“He plays so, so hard, both sides of the ball. He makes the simple play when he gets an O board. A lot of bigs first look is to go back up and score. He's smart. He knows he's not the tallest guy in the world and he's always trying to find shooters.”
Awaka is maybe the best offensive rebounder Giddey has ever seen.
“Josh Giddey said Tobe Awaka is "maybe the best offensive rebounder I've ever seen"”
