LeBron says the Sixers want early transition attacks before defenses set.
“I think it's always important just to be able to attack offensively before the defense is set. You know, so anytime we can get some early transition points or early attacks against defenses that's not set... we're able to punch gaps, you know, especially if they have a numbers advantage or even a one-on-one advantage, the guys are not gonna really be able to stay in front of them.”
Ball is playing good positional defense and learning to work alongside Gobert.
“He's playing good positional defense. He's using his length well. You know, he's understanding how to navigate playing out there with Rudy.”
Shannon is getting plenty of reps handling the ball above the arc beyond transition.
“Really like that we've seen plenty of reps with TJ Shannon above the arc handling the ball, and not just in transition or semi-transition.”
The Timberwolves plan to build their offense around the LaMelo Ball and Rudy Gobert pick-and-roll with Ball initiating early.
“We feel that the LaMelo-Rudy pick-and-roll could have the potential... will be one of the hardest things in the league to guard. So, you know, we need to lean into that.”
