“We see him as a secondary ball handler, a guy that can handle the ball, make plays, play in pick-and-roll, a lot of different things. … I think you see them in flashes but you know that what the summertime is for So like you have find your NBA skill you do it at a elite level you work on your complete game but you still do the thing that you do really well... as that thing starts to bud and begins to be something that you can do on the court, you start to see flashes of that, and then it becomes part of your game.”

Clifford feels capable of playmaking for others though he has done little of it at camp.
“I haven't played too much at camp, but it's something that I'm capable of doing. You know, just got to continue to get more comfortable with them. But the way I feel like I can pass the ball and playmaking to other people in positions to score, I feel like I'm capable of doing that.”
The primary ball handler's job is organizing teammates and creating good shots every possession.
“It's really just the responsibility, you know, of getting your teammates organized. You're the primary ball handler. You know, you got to get us in positions to get good shots every possession. Setting our team up in ways to, you know, run our plays effectively. Not getting pushed out of spots. That was something we could have been better at. You know, our spacing was a little messed up at times.”
Clifford is focused on playing disciplined and physical defense as an aggressor.
“I'd say just being more disciplined, more solid. keeping guys in front of me, being a physical defender, being, we talked about being more so offensive, defensive players. That's something we talked about a lot. Which kind of means we're being aggressors, we're not back on the wheels.”
