Utah is holding back Peterson's workload and adding responsibilities in layers so he isn't overloaded.
“We have to show restraint as it relates to Darryn's development and really try to layer the things in properly so that we're not giving him too much at once.”
Utah does not want Peterson locked into on-ball duty and wants a mix of on and off ball.

Peterson still adjusting to NBA length on closeouts.
