Adelman feared camp would show only nine playable players and is glad to see growth from many.
“It's what you want. I'll be honest, the worry for me coming into camp was, do we only have nine players? And you can't survive the season like that. So it's good to see growth from a lot of guys.”
Adelman sees Diallo as capable of guarding bigger players and shedding screens to hold matchups without switching.
“I tried to get him in to guard Jaron and it just, the sub pattern didn't work out. But I think he could do that too.”
Gordon expects Bagley to anchor the second unit as the big when Jokić sits.
“he's going to help us very much lift that second unit and be big when the joker's off the floor.”
Coach sees Strawther as a capable rebounder and is freeing him to crash the glass under Denver's new tag-up approach.
“He's a really aggressive two-foot jumper. He's actually really good verticality guy too... with these rules, it'll help him. It allows him to go explore that as opposed to just screaming, get back, get back, get back.”
Coach calls Braun the team's downhill.
“He is our thrust on our team. You know, Aaron, Jamal, those guys, they can run up and down, but not like that with the impact of kind of playing downhill.”
