Sarr and Middleton sit tonight while ramping up to game condition and Sarr is close to playing.
“In New York tonight, Wizards coach Brian Keefe told reporters that Alex Sarr and Khris Middleton will not play tonight. Both are ramping up to game condition, but Sarr is getting close to playing soon. Tristan Vukčević (hip impingement) and Jamir Watkins (ACL recovery) are also out.”
Dort and Johnson sit tonight while McCollum looks to be back in the rotation.
“Lu Dort (right knee contusion), Keshon Gilbert (left patella tendinitis), Jalen Johnson (rest) are out. CJ McCollum looks to be back in the rotation.”
Vukcevic and Watkins are out for the preseason opener while many others will play light minutes.
“Brian Keefe said it's unclear who won't be available to play Thursday in the preseason opener. "No one will play heavy minutes or anything like that, but expect to see a lot of guys out there tomorrow," Keefe said. Alvarado is out of the preseason opener with a knee contusion.
