Thunder camp has stressed getting out fast and pushing the ball ahead with unselfish play.

Training camp is teaching McCain the base principles behind plays he only learned the endings of last season.

“I learned a lot of the offense of like the endings of plays or new plays that we added in towards the end of the season last year and I never even knew like where the base play came from. And so being in training camp has just allowed me to help learn the base principles of what they teach here at the Thunder, offensively and defensively.”

Shai beats defenders in many ways and stays unselfish until it is time to take over.

“what makes him so special is being able to just beat you in so many different ways whether it off the dribble in the mid three to the rim. I think that makes it so hard to guard and he does a great job of being unselfish out there and when it's time to take over, we know he can.”
