Demin inserted at point guard; Nets passing on Traore and Saraf in favor of ball-handling responsibility for Demin and Ellis at off-guard.
“Egor Demin gets the nod at point guard, with Mikel Brown Jr. hurt. The #Nets go with veteran Keon Ellis at off-guard and put Demin on the ball, rather than with sophomores Nolan Traore or Ben Saraf.”
Coach Jordi told Ellis he'll lean on him as a veteran mentor to the young roster.
“when my first phone call with Jordy, he told me to like, you know, he's going to look at me to kind of help the younger guys and, you know, teach them.”
Ellis says a consistent established role is key to returning to his top-ten 3PT%/steals form.
“I think just the the consistency and just an established role I mean a lot of things were up and down and moving parts and You know, you just never really knew what was going on.”
