Spencer Jones is testing his hamstring with running and dribbling but is still not close to returning.
“Spencer Jones got in a workout post practice today. Was doing some running, some dribbling, trying to test out that hamstring and go through the checklist before returning to play. Still don't think he's close to back yet.”
Denver's bench minutes are up for grabs and Diallo had a strong night while Jones sat.
“it's going to be a competition with these guys to try to find minutes. It's not easy. Spencer Jones isn't even playing. So the minutes to be found will be earned, but he had a really good night.”
Diallo gets first-quarter minutes and DeRozan plays the four in an all-bench unit.

Diallo and Spencer Jones have the defensive mentality that much of the Nuggets roster lacks.
“The Nuggets need more guys in their rotation who like to defend. A lot of this team hates playing defense. It's a mentality. Diallo has it. Spencer Jones has it.”
Spencer Jones is out and needs time before he returns.
