Nori views Morant as the primary point guard.
“I would consider Ja more the point and then also just because like you see him pushing pace... when Ja pushes that and attacks the paint and then if you get a big down in the paint, it starts to collapse defense and now you can find some easy ones for Dame.”
Portland ran its offense through Hansen as the hub and he finished well around the basket.
“I thought that he had a pretty good feel for the offense. We played a lot through him as the hub. He made a lot of good decisions, was able to finish around the basket.”
Portland will use different starting lineups because it is unsure who plays both ends of the back to back.
“I think you going to see some different starting lineups because I don know who again who all going to play in both games of the back.”
Carlson is confident playing both the four and the five after working on the four.
“I've played five the majority of my whole life, but I think these past few years, my last year in college, I played a lot of four. And then as well, just throughout here, I've been really working on it. So I'm very confident in both positions.”
Scoot is viewed as a combo guard and does not have to orchestrate for others.
“I think that Scoot, to me, is more of a combo-type guy than just a true point guard... I don't need you to worry about everybody else as far as facilitating and orchestrating.”
